We Believe:

We, at Messianic Family Fellowship, believe that in order to please God we must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him (Heb. 11:6).

We believe in the One true God described in the Hebrew scriptures as the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Exd. 3:6), El Shaddai our God Almighty(Gen 35:11), and Yahweh our Lord and creator of all things visible and invisible(Col 1:16).

We believe in the infallible Word of God in its original language. We believe that the Mashiach of Y'israel is divinely interwoven throughout both the old and new testaments and therefore bare one consistent theme and message.

We believe in Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) who is the Son of God (Luke 1:35), our Passover Lamb sacrifice (John 1:29,36), the Word made flesh (John 1:1) who came to tabernacle (dwell) among us (John 1:4) as Emanuel God with us (Matt. 1:23). We believe He came to restore the lost sheep of Israel (Matt. 10:6, 15:24) and establish the renewed covenant as spoken of by the prophet Jeremiah (Jer. 31:31). We believe Yeshua came to perfect and fill up the Torah commandments full of meaning and not diminish or make the Law of God null and void (Matt. 5:17-19). We believe Yeshua died on the tree and rose again on the third day according to the sign of the prophet Jonah (Matt. 12:40). We believe that Yeshua came the first time fulfilling the Spring Feasts of the LORD (Lev. 23) as the suffering servant, Messiah Ben Yoseph and will come again to fulfill the Fall Feasts of the LORD (Lev. 23) as the conquering King, Messiah Ben David.

We believe that the Messianic Jewish Apostles did not add or take away from the Torah commandments/instructions/Law but merely midrashed or expounded upon principles that already existed in the TaNaKh (Old Testament). We believe they honored the Torah and upheld it's significance in the believers life and spoke honorably about Moses and many Jewish traditions.

We believe in ONE Torah for ALL peoples and that Israel was indeed chosen as God's first born (Exo. 4:22) to be priests and prophets to the nations (Deu. 4:6, 1Pet. 2:9). We believe just as the scriptures say that there will be no difference between believing gentiles and believing Jews (Lev. 24:22, Num. 9:14) as to the instructions for how to live a good and long life or to the reward one receives by the LORD.

We believe in the power of prayer in that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man or woman avails much (Jam. 5:16).

We believe in keeping the appointed times and seasons of Yahweh by following the calendar He created from creation (Gen. 1) which is based on a lunar cycle and not a solar based calendar system. We believe that the weekly Sabbaths(Friday sundown to Saturday sundown) and the Feasts of the LORD (high sabbaths in Lev. 23) are notched positions on God's timeclock, making it impossible to know what time or season we are in without keeping these appointments. We believe that keeping these appointments are not grievous or cumbersome (Matt.11:30) but they allow us to stay in rhythm with the LORD.

What we do not believe or endorse:

  1. Salvation by works or by keeping the Law.
  2. That the church in the New covenant replaced Israel and all of the other covenants.
  3. That the Christian church is evil and/or pagan and not in the plan of God even though we do not endorse everything that the church teaches and practices.
  4. That you have to say God's names in the proper Hebrew in order to be heard or recognized by Him.
  5. That Grace and Love replaced the Law or Torah of God.
  6. That the full restoration of the whole House of Israel spoken of in Ezekiel 36-37 already took place in May 1948 when Israel became a recognized state.
  7. That women or gentiles are less than or substandard to Jewish men.
  8. That we should keep Jewish tradition as commandment.
  9. British Israelism
  10. That those of Jewish liniage should reject or discontinue their Torah observance when coming to the saving knowledge of Yeshua Messiah.
